![]() ![]() Producing great theatre for the community requires two things. First of all, it requires passion; we've got it in spades. It also requires money; this we have, mmm, not so much. For this partnership to work, we are looking to the artistic and business communities of Asheville and beyond to help us challenge the American theatrical landscape. Good theatre doesn't come cheap; the costs are myriad. Costumes, props, publicity, performance rights, all these things cost money. Moreover, we need to pay our actors, our technicians, our designers; while no one chooses a career in theatre expecting to get rich, the time, effort, and talent of our generous theatrical collaborators must be rewarded if we mean to continue to produce quality work. We also want to make theatre affordable and accessible. One thing we do not want to bring from New York is high ticket prices; our tickets are all between $10 and $15 (with a special pay-what-you-can performance in every run). Will you help us? While any amount is useful, we'd like to suggest some levels at which you can assist us: · $35-$99: a gift at this level will help us paint the set · $100-$249: a gift at this level will help purchase a costume for a leading lady · $250-$499: a gift at this level will help us secure performance rights · $500-$999: a gift at this level will help us pay an actor or stage manager · $1000-$2499: a gift at this level will help us rent rehearsal and performance space · $2500 up: a gift at this level will help us get the show on the road (so to speak) and secure a place for Asheville's unique voice in the American theatre landscape And the good news: All contributions are tax-deductible. And of course we'll thank you for your support in our programs and on our website. immediate theatre project may be a young company, but we're dreaming big, and we hope you'll be a part of our future. immediate 0607 is a very ambitious season which will see us making real strides toward fulfilling our institutional mission, showcasing an Asheville-developed theatrical experience in a larger market. The foundation we've just begun to build is the first step toward being a part of Asheville's and America's theatre communities years from now. ![]() We can't do it without you!
